Jerry West The Logo Signed/Inscribed Great Western Forum Game Used Floor Piece

A signed and inscribed piece of the Great Western Forum floor from Jerry West, the player the NBA logo silhouette was famously drawn from. The Forum opened in 1967 and West played there until he retired in 1974, so this is the hardwood of his last seven seasons in Los Angeles, the 1972 championship and the 33-game winning streak that came with it. He remains the only player ever named Finals MVP while playing for the losing team, in 1969, and after the playing career he built the Showtime Lakers and then assembled the roster that won three straight in the 2000s. West has signed the piece in violet deco paint pen, which sits up on the maple and makes everything pop, and added the HOF 1980-2010 inscription, marking both of his Hall of Fame inductions: 1980 as a player and 2010 as a member of the 1960 United States Olympic team.
